On Wednesday, March 26, 2014, the California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA) will host the State Refinery Task Force Information Session. The public meeting will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the City of Richmond’s City Council Chambers, located at 440 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond, CA 94804.
CalEPA formed this Task Force on refinery safety in August 2013 and its members consist of ten state agencies, U.S. EPA, and local agencies from areas of California that contain refineries. This session is the first of many public meetings to be held throughout the state by the Task Force. The session is intended to inform the public about the activities of the Governor’s Interagency Working Group on Refinery Safety since the August 6, 2012 Chevron Fire.
